Hjalti Parelius Finnsson is an Icelandic artist ,self-taught painter based in Hafnarfjörður Iceland. Born in 1979 in Reykjavík Iceland and studied graphic design at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen (Visual Communication).
He started painting in 2009 after loosing his job in the financial crisis of 2008 only to keep him self occupied.
What began as a way to fill the days became a full-time career quickly.

His paintings draw from popular culture, advertising, comics and art history. Humor has always been part of how he sees the world, and it naturally finds its way into the work.
