These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through www.parelius.is and setout the terms for purchasing artworks directly from Hjalti Parelius.

Artwork Sales

The artworks and limited edition prints presented on the website are available for purchase directly from Hjalti Parelius.

The selection of available works may change over time as artworks are sold, added or exhibited elsewhere.

Each artwork is presented with relevant information including title, dimensions, materials and edition details where applicable. Original paintings are unique works, while limited edition prints are produced in a defined quantity.

Images and colours are provided as accurately as possible. However, slight variations may occur depending on screen settings and viewing conditions.

Purchase and Payment

The website serves as a platform to view artworks and contact the artist. Purchases are arranged directly with Hjalti Parelius.

Payment is completed by bank transfer or, by prior agreement, in cash when collecting an artwork directly from the artist.

An artwork remains the property of Hjalti Parelius until full payment has been received, unless another agreement has been made directly between the artist and the buyer.

Ownership and Copyright

Once full payment has been received, ownership of the physical artwork transfers to the buyer.

Copyright and all intellectual property rights remain with Hjalti Parelius. Purchasing an artwork does not transfer reproduction rights, commercial usage rights or permission to reproduce, distribute or modify the artwork.

Custom Artwork

Specially commissioned artworks are created according to an individual agreement between the artist and the buyer.

Due to their personalised nature, commissioned works may not be eligible for cancellation or return under the same terms as standard artwork purchases, in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

Artwork Images and Promotion

Hjalti Parelius reserves the right to use images of artworks for archival purposes, exhibitions, publications and promotional material unless otherwise agreed.

Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Icelandic law.

Any disputes relating to purchases made through this website shall be handled according to applicable Icelandic legislation.
