This policy applies to artwork purchases made directly from Hjalti Parelius, including purchases made through www.parelius.is, by email, phone, social media, studio visits, exhibitions or other direct arrangements.

Shipping Policy

Artwork can be collected directly from Hjalti Parelius or delivered by agreed arrangement.

If shipping is requested, the buyer is responsible for the agreed shipping costs, packaging and insurance. Shipping arrangements are discussed before delivery to ensure the artwork is handled appropriately based on its size, value and requirements.

All artworks are carefully packaged before delivery. If an artwork arrives damaged, the buyer should photograph the packaging and artwork, keep the original packaging, contact the shipping provider to report the damage, and inform Hjalti Parelius with the relevant details.

Damage during transport is handled through the relevant shipping provider and any applicable insurance. Hjalti Parelius will assist with the documentation needed to resolve the matter. Any repair, replacement or refund depends on the outcome of the damage assessment and applicable shipping or insurance arrangements.

Once an artwork has been collected or delivered, the buyer is responsible for its care and handling.

Returns & Refunds

Artwork purchases are considered final. Buyers are encouraged to review artwork details, dimensions and images carefully and contact Hjalti Parelius with any questions before purchase.

Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with applicable Icelandic consumer protection legislation, including lög um neytendasamninga nr. 16/2016 where applicable.

Any approved return must be agreed with Hjalti Parelius in advance. Returned artworks must be safely packaged, returned in the same condition as received and will be examined before any refund is processed.

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any related costs unless otherwise required by law.

Commissioned artworks created according to the buyer’s specifications are not eligible for cancellation or return where excluded under applicable legislation.
